Experiments in reforesting and restoring Mt. Kinsho

Experimental Mt. Kinsho restoration site
Researching how to restore the natural environment through reforestation
Mt. Kinsho is located in the northwest region of Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture. In cooperation with the Tsuchiya Environmental Education Promotion Foundation, Yabashi Ringyo has constructed an experimental facility in an abandoned lime quarry to research reforestation issues. An ecological survey was performed on the site and the surrounding area and the site prepared accordingly. The forest bed was prepared artificially, and research is under way now to develop methods of rapid restoration of natural forests.
